Mother board,cpu,pci........................................
RAM ( random access memory)this memory is the once we use all the time, when ever we are required to do work, or run a program, its like a temporary memory, it doesnt store information but only temporarily keeps it to keep programs run.before RAM s used to be big and less efficient, as in the largest RAM available available was 650 kbs, and it was pridicted by BILL GATES that humans would never need more, but as time passed, now we even see RAM s in GB s quiet commonly. RAM s , to be simple are the speed of a computer, determine how fast a computer can process information, the faster the RAM the better the speed.HARD DRIVE is permenant memory, it has nothing to do with RAM, but it makes difference. When you turn off a computer all the information on the RAM is lost, which is where you can use your harddrive . You can save all your information on the Hard Drive, which has enough memory to save loads of programs and other stuff. It is a megnatic disc which stores information. Its a permanent memory storage device and is usually found in capacities 2-500 gbs for PC s .BIOS (basic input output device) The BIOS tells a computer what to do from when its turned off to when its turned on, and can be seen on a motherboard. It tells the computer , things like opening certain programs.Motherborard is not a storage device, but its the main part of a computer where the memory and other things are located, if u didnt have a mother board wouldnt work because every other plug or connection is connected to the mother board.Mother board tells everyone else what to do in a computer. Silicon Chips all computer hardware, mainly the components are made up of silicon because they are conductors and have other special features that a computer needs. Flash Memory is a type of memorythat is used for portable devices like GPS s and comes from 64mb to 5 gb. whats good about it is that it takes up the least space and the information on it is permanent just like a hard drive. Also pci stands for preferal computer intarface but you dont really need to know that.
